Ashes can be scattered in our designated wildflower area at our burial grounds, with the option to also bury or add ashes to existing graves.

*The Burial of ashes where a young tree is also planted and later cut back to allow fresh growth in the future - this further helps nature and wildlife to flourish by allowing the trees to regrow with more nuts, leaves and produce.

Tree Planting & Slate Plaques.

We mark graves with the planting a of sapling on the grave plus an engraved natural slate plaque can be supplied.

Natural Slate Plaque -

Plaques can be engraved and placed to mark graves. Each plaque varies in size and price due to the individual personalisation and design. 

Sizing of the plaques vary on your design, with the maximum being 30cm X 30cm.

Prices can be given upon further discussion of your desired design, a selection of thick rough edged slates can be seen around the site to give an idea of design.

Slates not order through us must be approved before placing on grave, otherwise they might be removed and recycled.

Tree Planting -

A tree of our choice will be planted as a memorial on the grave to add to our beautiful woodland and leave a personal touch that will last for years to come. 

All trees are UK sourced, with species planted that enhance the site to keep it wildlife-friendly and proactive.

It is important that all coffins, caskets and shrouds do not contain plastic or similar materials to allow our woodland burial site to work in harmony with the environment.

Recommendations.

Wicker -

Traditional coffins and curved-end caskets made from willow grown in Somerset. Choose from weather-beaten gold, buff and white willow with hemp or willow handles.

Felt -

A strong wooden frame, encased in layers of local wool felt. The felt shroud is shaped like a leaf, representing ‘the changing seasons of life’ and can be intricately decorated or left plain.

Cardboard -

Designed to be durable, these coffins are made completly from cardboard and can carry multiples of its own weight. They are affordable, eco friendly, and natural.

Solid Wood -

Only pine sourced from sustainable forests is used to make solid-wood coffins. No stains, varnishes or animal products are used. The wood is lightly sanded to bring out the natural grain and colour.

Banana Leaf -

Banana-leaf rope is woven around a wooden frame to create a sturdy but elegant coffin. The screws, handles and footplates are made from wood and it is lined with natural, unbleached calico lining.

Situated on our green burial ground, our log cabin is available for use.

Our simple basic cabin can be used as part of your funeral ceremony if the weather is inclement & can be decorated to create a fitting, personal venue for your private celebration.

Basic chairs and trestle tables available for use.

There is no extra charge for using our simple sedum roofed cabin.
